Pressies for the Baby

No, not my baby - I'm all done in that department! It was my cousins baby-shower over the weekend so I've been busy sewing some gifts. The sex is unknown so I've tried to keep them as unisex as possible but some pink did manage to sneak in!

A ribbon haired softie:

Bibs (of course - its not a baby shower without getting a million bibs!):

and a fabric basket to carry them in:

This was my first foray into quilting and I loved it!

The tutorial for this gorgeous fabric basket was found here.

  1. All these baby shower pressies are gorgeous! Thanks for your comment Melinda. I have just had a look through your blog and I am so impressed with all the wonderful things you create (mkes me quite embarrassed about my very plain, simple, basic sewing actually!). And your header is hilarious. Yes, us Mums definitely need to make time for sewing, to keep us sane!

  2. I saw this post a few days ago then lost the link again (lol)) How divine is the fabric basket that you made to put your special gifts in, these are the things I love, made from the heart! Fantastic idea :)
